Add a learner

  1. Open Learners.
  2. Select Add learner.
  3. Enter their first name, surname and email address.
  4. Add their mobile number, so you can call them from the lesson screen.
  5. Choose Manual or Automatic.
  6. Enter their usual pickup address and postcode. This pre-fills every booking.
  7. Select Add learner.

An email address is required. Learner sends the learner an email, they set their own password, and they then see their lessons, their progress and your messages.

The search box on Learners matches part of a first name, a surname or a mobile number.

Each row shows how many lessons the learner has taken, the transmission if it is automatic, and their mobile number. A learner with a practical test booked shows the test date on the right.

Open a learner to see:

  • Contact: mobile, email, usual pickup and emergency contact.
  • Licence and tests: driver number, theory pass date, theory expiry and test centre.
  • Coming up: every lesson still to come.
  • Driver’s record: their score on each DVSA topic.
  • Your notes: private to you.

The theory expiry date is shown with the time left, because a theory certificate lasts two years and a learner who misses it has to sit it again.

Select Message at the top of the learner’s record. That opens a conversation with them and puts your greeting in it. See Messages.
