Cancel a lesson

1. Open the lesson, from Today or from Diary.
2. Select Cancel lesson.
3. Enter a reason. The learner sees the reason, so keep it short and plain.
4. Select Cancel lesson again to confirm.

The lesson stays in the diary, marked as cancelled. Nothing is deleted, so the history stays honest.

Cancel a whole repeat

A lesson that is part of a weekly repeat shows an extra choice: Cancel every remaining lesson in this repeat. Tick it to end the series.

Lessons already taught are never touched. Only the lessons still to come are cancelled.

The notice period

Your school has a cancellation notice period of 48 hours.

Inside that period, Learner warns you before you confirm, and records the cancellation as a late cancellation. A learner cancelling inside the period is told that you may still charge for the lesson.

The record of a late cancellation sits on the lesson, so you can find it later when you work out what to bill.

Moving a lesson

There is no move in one step yet. Cancel the lesson, then book the new time. Give a reason such as “moved to Thursday”, so the learner understands the two changes belong together.
